  • A subscription costs £99 a month or £999 a year, plus VAT. You pay in advance, and it renews automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. You keep access until 7 days after the end of the period you've paid for, but we don't refund part periods.
  • The service gives you information and tools, not advice. You remain responsible for the advice you give your clients.

Who these terms are for

These terms apply when you start a free trial or subscribe, and whenever you use NGEN Markets UK. By starting a trial or subscribing, you accept them.

NGEN Markets UK is a professional service for financial advisers and the firms they work for, based in the United Kingdom. You may use it only for your business. By starting a trial or subscribing, you confirm that you're acting for the purposes of your trade, business or profession, not as a consumer, and that you're at least 18. Because of this, the cancellation rights the law gives consumers don't apply; you can still cancel at any time, as Cancelling explains.

If you subscribe for a firm, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes the firm.

The service, and what it isn't

NGEN Markets UK gives you fund research, screening, portfolio analysis, reports and market commentary. Fund data comes from Morningstar, and some commentary is written by AI.

We don't give investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing on the service is a recommendation or an offer to buy or sell any investment. You remain responsible for the advice you give your clients, including whether it suits them, and for meeting your own regulatory obligations.

Your account

Free trials

A free trial gives you full access for 7 days, and it ends automatically. We don't ask for card details for a trial, so you won't be charged unless you choose to subscribe. It's one trial per person: we check your UK mobile number with a text, and we keep a record that your email address and mobile number have had a trial, as our privacy notice explains.

If you subscribe with your trial's email address and password, you keep the same login and everything you've saved.

Prices and payment

Changing your plan

You can change your plan in Manage subscription.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Manage subscription, or by emailing support@ngenmarkets.co.uk from your account's email address. Cancelling stops all future payments. It takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and you keep full access until 7 days after that date.

We don't refund or give credit for part of a month or year, including when you cancel part-way through one, unless these terms or the law say otherwise.

Changed your mind? You can undo a cancellation in Manage subscription before your paid period ends.

Price changes

We may change our prices. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it will apply from your next renewal after that. If you don't want to pay it, you can cancel before then.

Using the service fairly

When you use NGEN Markets UK, please don't:

Data, reports and what you create

We and our licensors, including Morningstar, own the service and everything in it: the software, its design, the data, the text and the charts. While your trial or subscription lasts, you may use the service for your own business under these terms. Nothing else passes to you.

You may give the reports and factsheets you create with the service to your clients and prospective clients, as part of your service to them, in the form the service produces them (on screen, printed or as a PDF). Please keep the notices and data credits on them, including Morningstar's.

Fund data is provided by Morningstar under licence. Morningstar and its content providers own that data, and they aren't responsible for any loss arising from its use.

What you create and save, such as portfolios, fund lists and saved screens, belongs to you. You allow us to store and process it to run the service for you. You can delete it at any time, and when your account closes we delete it, as our privacy notice explains.

Your clients' personal data

The service doesn't need your clients' personal data. The details you type into a report, such as who it's prepared for, stay in your browser: they aren't saved or sent to us. Please don't put clients' personal data into anything you save with us, such as portfolio or list names. Use your own reference instead.

Accuracy and availability

We show fund and market data as our providers supply it, together with our own calculations. We work to keep it accurate, but we can't promise that it's complete, correct or up to date. For example, prices can be delayed, and a fund's holdings can be several months old. Check important figures against the fund's own documents, such as its factsheet, key information document or prospectus, before you rely on them.

AI summaries are machine-generated and can contain mistakes, so please check them before you rely on them. Past performance is not a reliable guide to future returns, and the value of investments can fall as well as rise.

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we can't promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We sometimes need to pause it for maintenance or updates, and we try to do that outside UK working hours. We keep improving the service, so features may change. If a change substantially reduces what you're paying for, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused part of your paid period.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit or exclude.

Subject to that:

Except for what these terms say, we make no other promises about the service, and terms implied by law are excluded as far as the law allows.

Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms (for example, by sharing your login or extracting data in bulk), if we suspect fraud or misuse, or if the law or our data providers require us to. We'll give you notice where we reasonably can. If we end your access because you broke these terms, we won't refund payments you've already made.

We may also stop offering the service, or a plan, by emailing you at least 30 days before. If we do, we'll refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.

When your access ends, you can no longer sign in. We keep your saved work for 12 months, as our privacy notice explains, so it will still be there if you subscribe again within that time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service, our prices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects you, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree to it, you can cancel before then, and the earlier terms apply until your cancellation takes effect.

Privacy

Our privacy notice explains what personal data we collect, how we use it and the rights you have.

General

Law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them or from the service (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
